创伤骨科成立于1957年，是北京积水潭医院最早的骨科科室之一。自建科以来，创伤骨科以诊治四肢骨关节创伤为主要临床任务和研究方向。40多年来诊治骨关节损伤患者几十万例，积累了大量研究成果和临床经验。对于骨盆髋臼骨折、陈旧骨折、复杂关节内骨折有丰富的临床经验和良好的疗效。目前创伤骨科每年诊治四肢创伤患者超过30000例。每年手术治疗超过5700例。我院拥有现代骨科手术器械和配套的手术室设备，手术方法、技术和手术疗效达到欧美发达国家水平。

北京积水潭医院是北京市唯一的创伤抢救中心，拥有独立的创伤急诊室。创伤急诊室每周七天，每天24小时接诊急性创伤患者。创伤骨科拥有四个病区共160张住院病床。日门急诊量200人左右。目前我科每天可完成急诊手术2-4台，常规手术超过10台。

在国际交流方面，创伤骨科长年和欧美、日本、新加坡、韩国以及香港保持着密切的交流与合作，成功地举办了多次国际学术活动。

One of the six bone departments, we are a key department of Beijing Health Bureau. Since the foundation of the department, we have made the treatment of orthopaedic trauma as our main clinical operationsand researching subject. For the past 40 years, hundreds and thousands of patients have been treated in our department and have accumulated rich researching results and clinical experience. We have gained valuable experiences in the treatment of pelvic and acetabular fractures, delayed fractures and complicated intraarticular fractures. We treat over 30,000 orthopaedic trauma patients and perform more than 3500 surgeries each year. We possess modern and advantageous equipments and the methods that we adopt reach levels of the developed countries and are in leading position in China.

We own the only separate trauma emergency room in Beijing, which in open seven days and 24 hours. We can finish 2-4 emergency treatment operations and more than 10 ordinary operations every day.We also pay much attention to international exchanges with institutionsin Europe, America, Japan, Singapore, Korea and Hong Kong and held successfully joint international academic activities. Furthermore,we are also one of the training bases in China and train professional doctors for all around the country.
